During the application process, you must select a pickup location. You can view a map of all pickup locations to find one most convenient to your location.
After your application has been approved, it can take 2-5 weeks for your e-Residency kit to arrive at your pickup location. Once it has arrived, your pickup location will send instructions related to scheduling your pick up. We recommend you wait to plan any travel until this time. We recommend checking your spam mailbox as well, as depending on your inbox settings, automated notifications from the embassies may end up there.
You will need to pick up your e-Residency kit, in person, within (6) months.
Contact the pickup location you chose on your application. Their contact information is available at our website, under official pick up locations.
They can answer questions like:
- Has my e-Residency kit arrived at the embassy and is it ready for collection?
- How do I schedule a time to pick up my e-Residency kit?
In most cases, though this is not encouraged. Additional time will be needed to re-route your document to the new location. Additionally, a change fee of 50€ will need to be paid to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This will not be a solution to prolong the 6 months timeframe for collection.
If you wish to change the pickup location from a service point in Estonia to an Estonian embassy, forward your application details, including your full name and date of birth, and the new location request to the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board at firstname.lastname@example.org. They are the issuing authority and will be able to redirect your card.
In order to change the pickup location from one embassy to another embassy, contact the Estonian embassy you chose as your pick-up location (contacts are available here) AND the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board at email@example.com with your application details and request to change the pickup location. On the request, the new location must be indicated.

If the original selection of the pick-up location is an external service provider (Tokyo; Seoul; San Francisco), then changing of the pick-up location is not possible and you would need to apply for a new document.
